Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about StayOrBounce: how it works, what it costs, who the reviewers are and how reliable the results are.

What is StayOrBounce?

StayOrBounce is a website feedback platform where real people judge the first impression of your homepage. Reviewers look at a screenshot for a few seconds and answer four questions: Do I understand what this is? Do I trust it? Does it look professional? Would I stay? The result is a stay score: the share of reviewers who would stay.

How is this different from analytics?

Analytics shows what visitors do, such as how many leave right away. StayOrBounce shows why: whether the first screen is unclear, untrustworthy or unprofessional. The two work well together.

How much does it cost?

You can use StayOrBounce for free: every website you review earns you one credit, and one credit buys one vote on your own website. New accounts start with a few credits. If you want results faster or from a specific audience, you can buy credits. See pricing.

How long does it take to get results?

Each review takes about 30 seconds, so votes come in as soon as reviewers are active. How fast a campaign fills up depends on how many reviewers are online and match your website's language and audience. With priority, your website is shown to reviewers first.

Who are the reviewers?

Other website owners and people who review to earn credits. Each person reviews a website only once, and only websites in languages they read.

Can I choose who reviews my website?

Yes. You can target a campaign at reviewers from specific countries, age groups or roles, such as entrepreneurs, designers or consumers. Reviewers set these details in their profile.

How do you prevent fake or lazy reviews?

Reviewers must look at the screenshot for at least five seconds before they can answer, they have a daily limit, and votes that look automatic are filtered out. Reviewers who usually agree with others also count slightly more. Read how we score for the details.

What is the stay score?

The share of reviewers who answered 4 or 5 out of 5 to the question Would I stay?. A result is marked reliable from 10 votes.

Do reviewers see my live website?

No. They see screenshots of your homepage on a laptop and on a phone, taken when you add your website. That way every reviewer judges exactly the same thing. You can retake the screenshots after a change.

Can I share my results?

Yes. You can create a public page with your scores to share with your team or clients. Reviewers' comments stay private.
